CAN WE PREVENT A FLOOR FROM GAPPING OR CUPPING?
Wood acclimation and installation are the two most important things to ensure your floor lasts a lifetime. Cupping tends to occur when you mix moisture with large wide boards. Gapping in solid wood floors cannot totally stopped. Wood tends to expand and contract with seasonal changes in humidity. Using a humidifier during heating months can reduce the amount of gapping in solid wood floors. Acclimation of the product in the area where it will be installed for a minimum of 7-10 days is strongly recommended Engineered wood floors are generally more stable than solid wood floors and will show less gaps between planks. HOW DO I PLACE MY ORDER?
To place an order, simply call our office at 800.283.6038. A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time your order is placed with the balance due before delivery.
HOW WILL MY ORDER BE DELIVERED?
All out of state orders will be delivered via common carrier to your business, residence or job site. You will be responsible for unloading the material from the truck and bringing it inside your home/business. If you would prefer to pick up your order, you are more than welcome to do so.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL LEAD TIME FOR DELIVERY?
Lead time varies depending on product quantity, custom specifications, and species. Most of our unfinished products are in stock and ready to ship.
DO I PAY TAX IF I BUY FROM OUT OF STATE?
No. All flooring orders delivered to states other than GA are tax free. We ship to all states across the country.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER FOR WASTE?
We recommend that you add 10% to 15% for waste and cuts depending on your job needs and the layout of the area.
